They didn't shed or ravel upon receipt or following initial wash. I bought three different kinds of “super absorbent” cotton towels. Every time I finished with a shower my body would be covered in lint and cotton pills. These towels solve both of my needs. Soft cotton, absorbent, and no pills. These may not compare to expensive Egyptian and Turkish towels, but for the money they are an excellent value.The towels were soft and adsorbent. On the first and second wash,2 of them came unraveled on one side and the whole side will have to be sewed. I wouldn't recommend this towel.They are RED!Got to match my bloody shower curtain. Perfect blood red match!Very good bathroom hand towels for guests.Excellent quality! Beautiful color.
